The first Manchester Children’s Book Festival is now officially closed …
The 2010 Manchester Children’s Book Festival was the first festival of its kind to run in the North West of England and didn’t we have a marvellous time! Parents, grandparents, teachers and children of all ages attended the fantastic four-day programme of events and activities featuring some of today’s favourite children’s writers, illustrators, books and characters.
We’ve also collected feedback from our hundreds of visitors and this will be published in our Festival News Magazine (currently being edited by our News Team) and in our Evaluation Report, which will be available from September. In the meantime, over the next few weeks we’ll continue to update this site with links and photographs. If you’re interested in being involved in the next Manchester Children’s Book Festival (as a sponsor, partner or participant) make sure you sign up on our mailing list so you receive news of our plans for the 2012 Festival. We’ll begin planning this in the Autumn and will invite everyone to a launch event early in 2011.
For now, though, we’re off for a well-earned rest! Thanks to everyone who helped make the first Manchester Children’s Book Festival such a huge success. We hope you’ll join us again next time.
